The Barley House Band is in its usual summer mode of relaxing, playing a lot of churches (which tend to arrange guest music while the choir is on vacation), and the odd wedding and outdoor festival. Speaking of which, the band will be at Riverssance in McClellan Park from 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. I’ll be teaching an Irish String Music workshop at the Celtic Highland Games, but more on that later. Also, the band returns to the Performance Hall at the River Music Experience in September for the next season of the Bucktown Revue, presented at 7 p.m. the third Friday of the month, September through April. Best, Michael
